when they told us the story of adam and eve.
they forgot to mention
that with the apple
and all the things
and horrible things
it brought with it
labor
work
agony
marriage
no one mentioned
that it also meant manogomy.
wonder if the snake woulda told eve that
if eve woulda taken the bite
im sure adam woulda run the other way at such mention.
oh well.
ill be sure my kids
hear the story
with extra details
even if
the details
are just
my own.
i happen to think
it makes sense.
thats all that matters
in my world
